Calmodulin-like protein 5 (CALML5), also known as calmodulin-like skin protein (CLSP), is a protein that in humans is encoded by the CALML5 gene. It is particularly abundant in the epidermis where its expression is directly related to keratinocyte differentiation and the expression is very low in lung. CALML5 binds calcium. It may be involved in terminal differentiation of keratinocytes and is closely related to coxsackievirus and adenovirus receptor (CAR).
